La Marianne...

Today is  La Fête Nationale in France, and usually we would be there, on the Roman bridge at Moulins, watching the fireworks and getting into a party mood with the locals - and all the visitors who are there to dance day and night for the next seven days at the "Grand Bal de l'Europe" at Gennetines. This year the Bal starts later, so we are at home and having to celebrate Bastille Day any way we can! I'm wearing my La Marianne medal, the people next-door-but-one appear to be making preparations for a party in the garden, and we had our Bastille Bal on Saturday. Now we're listening to FIP radio 'en direct', having done French music practice this morning (ooo, that Mazurka de Pierrefitte!), it's Stage 10 of the Tour de France this afternoon, and tonight there's a Fête Espéciale at The Signalman, with The Zuts ..alors, bonne fête!
