Another reunion...

Saturday 18 September, Jan, Bernadette and Lianne, 21 years after we first met! A lot to reflect on... La Val Dieu 1989, grace à un bagnol dépanné, the beginning of a friendship that traces itself around the globe (although I think B is in the same flat), and all before Dan Brown spoiled the mysterious beauty of the landscape of the Languedoc for others.

About me

I live in Brighton UK, and am retired after a late-entry working life into further and higher education, doing 'quality assurance' stuff as well as teaching, writing, etc. My passion is my garden... or is that French dance music? Or maybe Permaculture? Some people will know me from the old ILEA days (1977-1990 when it was abolished), others from circle dancing (1988 until about 2006, when I gave it up, but now I'm back into it a little), and maybe from the Life Course Development MSc at Birkbeck (94-96 if I remember correctly!). I have several friends from my home town of Cardiff with whom I still keep in touch, and lots from London. I seem to have got into e-things quite naturally, and this blog is to help me keep track of what I have done in my first year of not-working-fulltime, which is probably a more accurate description of what I do than "retirement" though I was Very Jubilant when I did it! Especially now with public sector pensions under threat from a Government that nobody voted in. A toute à l'heure...
