You might ask what are these two people doing?
Well, they are judging the Plinn competition...
They are assessing which of the people in the tight circle
in the picture below
are doing the dance properly!

and after they had judged, they joined in!!
(ps. to do it properly you have to 'sit' and allow your feet to rise off the ground at the same time)
We spent all day dancing the Plinn too... many rounds of singers, musicians and groups of dancers, gradually eliminated to a few winners, and the 35th Best Dancer cup went to a promising young woman of about 15. It's great to see young people involved in Breton dancing life as if it were the most natural thing on earth (it is of course)... the three youngsters are singing for the dancing (kan ha diskan), and the Fest Noz later in the evening had all ages in its 300-strong crowd.
Their website Festival Plinn du Danoet has fascinating photos from the past competitions, and a discourse on how the Plinn is done... it seems there are two different ways of dancing it in its native 'pays' to say nothing of the Fest Noz variations, fancy footwork we've been doing for years! Hence quite hard to judge, I'd say... but we got better at choosing the winners as the afternoon went on, especially after watching the judges' own dancing styles.
